1. In Auto mode rover receives the data from both base transmitter and repeater. The sophisticated algo-
rithm of data receiving allows the modem to eliminate any data doubling.

2.7. Checking Firmware Version
Use ModemVU to check the firmware version of your HPT404BT.
1. Connect your modem and computer. See "Connecting HPT404BT and Computer" on page 17 for
this procedure.
2. Start ModemVU. Select the HPT404BT and than the COM port and click Ok (see "Configuring
HPT404BT" on page 19).
3. Click on Identification tab (Figure 2-8).
This tab lists important information about the hardware accessories and software properties.
4. Click FileDisconnect, then FileExit to quit ModemVU.
