Troubleshooting Table

The following table summarizes the steps that you should follow when
troubleshooting the Series 4000 timeclock's hardware. For additional information,
contact your TLM Representative.
Symptom
The power LED is
turned on, but
nothing appears on
the screen.

Probable Cause
Display's cable is not
connected to mainboard.
Display board is
malfunctioning.
Mainboard is
malfunctioning.
Run the Display Test.
Corrective Action
Make sure cable is connected to the
mainboard.
Replace the front cover assembly. Contact
your TLM Representative.
Replace the Field Replaceable Unit (FRU).
Contact your TLM Representative.
1. Access Maintenance Mode.
2. Press the More soft key.
3. Press the Display Test soft key.
4. Press ENTER to start the test and note
the result.
5. Contact your TLM Representative.
