Selecting CAS (Channel Associated Signalling)

When you are using the E1 interface you can choose to
use CAS (G.704).
When you switch on CAS it uses timeslot 16, and CAS is
displayed in timeslot 16 on the slot map. This means that you
cannot assign timeslot 16.

CAS is not available if you have set the Framing type to
Unframed.
To change to CAS operation:
Highlight CAS in the interface menu and press ENTER
or the RIGHT arrow key to toggle between tick ( )
and cross ( ). When a tick is displayed CAS is switched
on.
Press the LEFT arrow key to exit and save the changes.
The Configure Physical Interface window is updated
for the changes that you have made.
