Choosing the Circuit Type
You can select from a list of circuit types. Your selection
determines what options are available from the Link
Configuration menu (for example, if you choose SVC,
you cannot select any LMI options).
•
Choose Circuit type in the Link Configuration menu
to display a sub-menu of circuit types.
•
Select the circuit type. On exiting the sub-menu your
selection is displayed.
The circuit types are as follows :
SVC
PVC
SVC & PVC
None

Note
If the Circuit type is set to SVC & PVC, and the SVC
protocol is Q933B, the SVC protocol defaults to FRF4.
PVC Configuration
If you have set Circuit type to either PVC or SVC & PVC,
you can set up parameters for permanent virtual circuits
(PVCs) from the Link Configuration menu.
Setting the LMI Protocol

Choose LMI Protocol to display a protocols sub-menu.
The options available depend on the Interface type
you have selected. Select from the following options :
Annex A
Annex D
Gang-of-4

Frame Relay Testing - Section 1
Switched Virtual Circuit
Permanent Virtual Circuit
Both Switched and Permanent Virtual
Circuits
No circuits
