Replacing memory modules

The motherboard has a slot for an SO-DIMM DDR3 memory module. You may expand the
device memory up to 8 GB.
Note
Use only the memory modules recommended by Siemens AG.
On the motherboard, the slot for non-ECC memory modules is turned by 180° compared to
the ECC slot.
Requirement
● The device is disconnected from the power supply.
● The device is open (see chapters "Opening the device (Page 71)" and "Opening the
device containing expansion cards (Page 73)").
Procedure
Note
Observe the directives on handling electrostatic-sensitive components in ESD guideline
(Page 108).
Removal
1. Push down the module clips towards the
outside.
The memory module tilts forward.
2. Remove the memory module from the
slot.
