Ethernet interface restrictions
Support for Ethernet interface 2 is OS dependent. For WinPE-based applications (e.g.
SIMATIC IPC Image & Partition Creator), use Ethernet interface 1 and disable Ethernet
interface 2 in BIOS setup. This is practical because some programs use the second
Ethernet interface because it is the first one found on the PCI bus.
With iAMT-capable devices, the first Ethernet interface LAN1 is used to perform the AMT
functionality. In this case, the teaming functionality is blocked in Windows operating
systems. iAMT (LAN1) and Teaming (LAN1 and LAN2) are not possible simultaneously.
