Advancing to Next Parameter:
After programming PARAMETER 09, press the N key to advance to
PARAMETER 10 – the next parameter in Category C.
The CP-220A displays the parameter just programmed ([PARAMETER
NUMBER 09]) with its first digit flashing, indicating its request for the
next parameter number. Press either:
• 1 then 0 , or
• the
NOTE: When the

Background:
In PARAMETER 10, the Serial Stop Bits specify the number of bits (either
1 or 2) that follow each character of data sent by the CP-220A to mark
where one character ends and the next character begins.
Programming Procedures:
The number of Stop Bits programmed for the CP-220A must be set to match
that which was chosen for the computer (or vice versa). Choose either [1] or
[2] by pressing either the NEXT key or the MANUAL/PREVIOUS key, as
required.
Default:
PARAMETER 10 is defaulted to [2] Stop Bits. As stated, if this value is
used, the Automation System's computer must also be programmed for 2
Stop Bits.
Advancing to Next Parameter:
After programming PARAMETER 10, press the N key to advance to
PARAMETER 11 – the next parameter in Category C.
