Variable speed actuators (RTS FQ Fail-Safe
Quarter-Turn Series and Smartcon CSC FU):
Without function
fixed speed actuators (Smartcon CSC): Minimum
activation time of the reversing contactors. For
very small activation times (<0.3 to 0.5s), the
{0.2s}
motor will be switched off during start-up process,
which increases significantly reversing contactors
mechanical wear. With frequent periods of very
small activation times (restless loop, small dead
zone, clocking near to the target value), we
therefore recommend electronic reversing
contactor.
Variable speed actuators (RTS FQ Fail-Safe Quarter-
Turn Series and Smartcon CSC FU): Without
function Fixed speed actuators (Smartcon CSC):
{2s}
This parameter is only relevant when Step mode
is enabled and when approaching the target
position (parameter gain smaller than 100 %) and
determines the period of a run/pause cycle.
Smallest controllable position other than the end
position CLOSED. The range 0% to a0 will be just
0.0 – 25%
passed through. Use the parameter a0 to define
{2%}
the beginning of the allowable control range of
the valve (e.g., blind spot for ball segment valves,
etc.).
Largest controllable position other than the end
75 – 100%
position OPEN. The area e0 to 100% is just passed
{98%}
through. Use the parameter e0 to define the end
of the allowable control range of the valve.
Below this value, the end position CLOSED is
controlled. In the range 0% to a1 cannot be
0.0 – 25%
controlled (end position tolerance). The initial
{2%}
setpoint a1 is associated with a small hysteresis
(1/4 of the deadband).
Above this value, the end position OPEN is
controlled. The range e1 to 100% cannot be
75 – 100%
controlled (end position tolerance). The final
{98%}
setpoint e1 is associated with a small hysteresis
(1/4 of the deadband).
