Configuring PIM RPF Failover Intervals

Perform this optional task to configure the intervals at which PIM RPF failover will be triggered by changes
in the routing tables.
Cisco recommends that you do not modify the default values for the ip multicast rpf backoff command.
Note
The default values allow subsecond RPF failover.

Purpose
Enables privileged EXEC mode.
• Enter your password if prompted.
Enters global configuration mode.
Configures the periodic RPF check intervals to occur at
a specified interval, in seconds.
