Prerequisites
The Storage Administrator (Provisioning) role is required to perform this task.
Procedure
1.
Open the Pools window.
In Command View Advanced Edition:
a.
On the Resources tab, click Storage Systems, and then expand All Storage Systems.
b.
Expand the target storage system, right-click THP Pools, and then select System GUI.
In Remote Web Console:
a.
Click Storage Systems, and then expand the Storage Systems tree.
b.
Click Pools.
2.
On the Pools tab, click the link of the Pool Name associated with the volume that has settings
that you want to change.
3.
Select the Virtual Volumes tab, click More Actions, then Edit LDEVs.
The Edit LDEVs window opens.
4.
In the Edit LDEVs window, check Full Allocation and select Enable or Disable.
Enable: All pages of a THP V-VOL are allocated to the current pool.
Disable: All pages of a THP V-VOL might not be allocated to the current pool.
5.
Click Finish.
The Confirm window appears.
6.
In the Task Name text box, type a unique name for the task or accept the default.
You can enter up to 32 ASCII characters and symbols, with the exception of: \ / : , ; * ? "
< > |. The value "date-window name" is entered by default.
7.
Click Apply.
If the Go to tasks window for status check box is selected, the Tasks window appears.

Enabling or disabling tier relocation of a THP V-VOL

You can enable or disable tier relocation of individual THP V-VOLs or on all THP V-VOLs.
THP V-VOLs on which tier relocation is disabled are excluded from the targets for the tier range
calculation, and are not reflected in the performance information of pools. If tier relocation is
disabled on all THP V-VOLs in a pool, performance information of a pool is unavailable in the
View Tier Properties window.

On the Resources tab, click Storage Systems, and then expand All Storage Systems.

Expand the target storage system, right-click THP Pools, and then select System GUI.
In Remote Web Console:
a.
Click Storage Systems, and then expand the Storage Systems tree.
b.
Click Pools.
2.
On the Pools tab, click the link of the Pool Name associated with the THP V-VOL you want to
rename.
