Prerequisites
The Storage Administrator (Provisioning) role is required to perform this task.
Procedure
1.
Open the Logical Devices window.
In Command View Advanced Edition:
a.
On the Resources tab, click Storage Systems, and then expand All Storage Systems.
b.
Expand the target storage system, right-click Volumes, and select System GUI.
In Remote Web Console:
a.
Expand the Storage Systems tree.
b.
Click Logical Devices.
2.
In the LDEVs pane of the Logical Devices window, select an LDEV ID.
3.
Click More Actions, and then select Edit LDEVs.
4.
In the Edit LDEVs window, select New Page Assignment Tier and select the new page assignment
tier you want to use.
5.
Click Finish.
The Confirm window appears.
6.
In the Task Name text box, type a unique name for the task or accept the default.
You can enter up to 32 ASCII characters and symbols, with the exception of: \ / : , ; * ? "
< > |. The value "date-window name" is entered by default.
7.
Click Apply.
If the Go to tasks window for status check box is selected, the Tasks window appears.

Opening the Edit Tiering Policies window

Follow these steps to open the Edit Tiering Policies window
Prerequisites
The Storage Administrator (Provisioning) role is required to perform this task.
Procedure
1.
Open the Edit Tiering Policies window.
In Command View Advanced Edition:
a.
On the Resources tab, click Storage Systems, and then expand All Storage Systems.
b.
Expand the target storage system, right-click THP Pools, and then select System GUI.
In Remote Web Console:
a.
Click Storage Systems, and then expand the Storage Systems tree.
b.
Click Pools.
2.
In the Pools window, click Edit Tiering Policies.

Changing a tiering policy

Use this procedure to change a tiering policy.

The Storage Administrator (Provisioning) role is required to perform this task.
