Possible Errors Running Network Diagnostics using a Private LAN
Errors may occur at either while tracing the connection to a given 7810iR-ent or while
testing the service at a given 7810iR-ent. The following list highlights the most common
errors. Please contact the AlarmNet Technical Assistance Center (TAC) for help regarding
any errors NOT listed below:

After a successful trace to CS IP 3, a test of the service
at CS IP 1 is performed. That is, the first test
determines if a message can reach the 7810iR-ent; this
test determines if the connection point (CSIP) at the
7810iR-ent knows what to do with the message once it
receives it.
The service at the 7810iR-ent on CS IP 3 is functioning.
See below for possible errors that may occur at this stage
of testing.
If CS IP 2 and/or CS IP 3 are not programmed, display
will read.
A summary of the tests is displayed after CS IP 3 is
tested. The example shows that CS IP 2 and/or CS IP 3
are not programmed.
While tracing the connection to CS IP x, the trace fails
before ever reaching the local gateway (router).
While tracing the connection to CS IP x, the trace fails
after reaching the local gateway (router).
While tracing the connection to CS IP x, the trace fails
after reaching the CS IP.
