• The exit delay time shall not exceed 60 seconds. (section 1.1.3)
• The entry delay time shall not exceed 45 seconds. (section 1.1.2)
• The sounder cutoff time shall not be less than 4 minutes. (section 1.2)
• The AC power failure report time shall not be more than 360 minutes. (section 1.1.4)
• The delay before Dial time shall be 0 seconds. (section 3.5.4)
• "Normally Open" loop type is only suitable for Grade B, Household Burglary. (section 2.1.1)
• "Normally Closed" loop type is only suitable for Grade B, Household Burglary. (section 2.1.1)
• "Normally Open/Normally Closed" loop type is only suitable for Grade A, Household Burglary and Commercial
Burglary. (section 2.1.1)
• The dial attempts shall not be less than 5 and more than 10. (section 3.4)
• If fire alarm verification feature is used, the "Fire Alarm Verify" feature shall be enabled. (section 4.6.5)
• The 'alarm verify' noted in 2.1.9 should not be used in any UL listed application. (section 2.1.9)
• DACT and BELL shall be tested every 24 hours for Commercial Fire. (section 1.3 & 6.4.7)
• For Fire bell to Ring in Temporal Pattern, the following settings must be entered:
• The SMDC-WX (wireless features) has not been investigated for use in UL Listed Fire Applications
or UL Listed Burglar Applications. (section 2.7)

1. Zone Type must be set to Fire Zone (section 2.1.1).
2. Bell 1 must be set to Yes (section 2.8.1).
3. Bell 1 Pulse must be set to Yes (section 2.8.2).
4. Temporal Fire must be set to Yes (section 4.9).
