This section determines the parameters necessary for off/on-site programming using the
SRPU (Super Remote Programming Utility) software. Contact Tech Support at
Optex Inc. to obtain a copy of the SRPU software.

Enter the number of rings the SMDC will wait before automatically answering
the call placed by the computer with the SRPU software. If at the subscriber site another
device is connected to the same phone line (i.e.: an answering machine) that answers the call
prior to the ring count being reached, the SMDC will still listen for the lead in tone from the
SRPU software, and if the control panel recognizes the proper frequency, it will seize the
phone line from the devices that initially answered the call and begin communication. The
SMDC is able to communicate with the SRPU on either phone line connected to the panel
at the subscriber's premise.

Enable this option to allow the SRPU software to connect with the SMDC to determine if the
SMDC Access ID matches the SRPU Access ID. Programming is allowed once a match is
confirmed. The session will be terminated immediately if a match is not confirmed.
N o t e : FFFF (monitor 4 times) will delete the Access ID number and download access will be denied.
