Making Advanced Setup of Media

Setting Height of Media Manually

Manually set the height of media for printing.
Although the manual setting takes a little longer than the automatic setting because you need to visually set
the height, it is suitable when you do not want to make the head gap sensor contact with the media or when
you want to set the distance between the head and media.
* If the print surface is uneven, there is a limit to the area of unevenness.

NOTE
Be sure to hold the handle of the front cover, open and close it gently.
Procedure
1.
Secure the media in place on the flat table .

2.
Close the front cover .
SETUP MEDIA
3.
Press [SETUP] .
[SETUP] starts to flash.
4.
Press [ ] [ ] [ UP ] [ DOWN ] to move the flat table .
Move the head gap sensor as close as possible to the print surface until they are in a position where they are
just about to touch.
This step can be performed with the front cover open.
NOTE
Set the height of the table in a way that the highest position of the media (print surface) will not come into
contact with the head gap sensor.
