Fully Utilizing Convenient Features

Continuing Printing even If Media
Contact the Head Gap Sensor
This setting allows the height to be readjusted
automatically to continue printing even when
the media moves out of position or lifts up
and comes into contact with the head gap
sensor during printing. (*)
This function is effective for printing on media
that cannot be redone.
Procedure
1.
Press [MENU] .

The height is readjusted and
printing continues even when
the media comes into contact
with the head gap sensor dur-
ing printing.
Printing and setup will be can-
celed when the media comes
into contact with the head gap
sensor during printing. (**)

] in this order to return to
the original screen .
Description
When the height is readjusted automatically,
and printing continues, the height setting is
changed, and therefore the print quality may
be changed. Hence, proper printing requires
properly securing the media before printing
to keep it from moving out of position or
lifting up.

At the time when the height is readjusted
automatically, the head gap sensor comes
into contact with the media.
Even if "RE-ADJ" is selected, printing and setup
will be canceled in the following cases.
• In automatic readjustment, the flat table
descends more than 10 mm (0.4 inches).
• In automatic readjustment, even if the flat
table has moved to the bottom, the media
comes into contact with the head gap
sensor.
