Filler Panels

1. Connect a cable to an installed module.
2. Open the cable management bracket
card—toward the tray.

3. Slide the cable into a U-bracket at the upper lip of the tray, and guide it out through the side of the
tray.
For Ethernet cable(s) from the NPM/AMP or NPM2 card(s), guide the cable(s) through the left-
most U-bracket(s) and out through the left opening of the tray.

4. Close the cable management bracket.
Filler Panels
To maintain proper airflow through the chassis, all empty slots must be shielded by a filler panel.
Specific panels are designed for use with front and rear of the VMG-14+, as described in this section.
Imagine Communications provides filler panels for use at the front and rear cage slots of the VMG
systems.
Caution:
All filler panels must be installed to maintain proper airflow and prevent air from escaping
out of the front of an open slot. Filler panels should include an airflow baffle that extends to
the backplane.
