Advanced Power Management Configuration
Power Technology
Select Energy Efficient to support power-saving mode. Select Custom to custom-
ize system power settings. Select Disabled to disable power-saving settings. The
options are Disable, Energy Efficient, and Custom.
Config TDP
Select Enable to allow the user to configure the Thermal Design Power (TDP)
settings for the system. The TDP refers to the maximum amount of power al-
lowed for running "real applications" without triggering an overheating event. The
options are Disable and Enable.
CPU P State Control
Note: The item will be edited when Power Technology item sets to Custom.
EIST (P-State)
EIST (Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology) allows the system to automati-
cally adjust processor voltage and core frequency in an effort to reduce power
consumption and heat dissipation. Please refer to Intel's website for detailed
information. The options are Disable and Enable.
Turbo Mode
Select Enable for processor cores to run faster than the frequency specified by
the manufacturer. The options are Disable and Enable.
Note: This item is grayed out when EIST (P-States) is set to Disable.
P-state Coordination
Use this item to configure the processor's P-State coordination settings. During
a P-State, the voltage and frequency of the processor will be reduced when it is
in operation. This makes the processor more energy efficient, resulting in further
energy gains. The options are HW_ALL, SW_ALL and SW-ANY.
Note: This item is grayed out when EIST (P-States) is set to Disable.
CPU C State Control
Note: The item will be edited when Power Technology item sets to Custom.
