Motherboard Features The SuperServer 1017A-MP is built around the X9SCAA, a single processor moth- erboard based on the Intel NM10 Express chipset. Below are the main features of the X9SCAA. (See Figure 1-1 for a block diagram of the chipset).

Chapter 7: BIOS Chapter 7 BIOS Introduction This chapter describes the AMI BIOS Setup Utility for the X9SCAA Motherboard. The AMI ROM BIOS is stored in a Flash EEPROM and can be easily updated. This chapter describes the basic navigation of the AMI BIOS Setup Utility setup screens. Note: For instructions on BIOS recovery, please refer to the instruction guide posted at http://www.supermicro.com/support/manuals/.

The CPU temperature and the fan speed are correlative. When the CPU on-die temperature increases, the fan speed will also increase for effective system cooling.
