Before Driving
Fuel and Emission
USE ONLY UNLEADED FUEL.
   
Leaded fuel is harmful to the catalytic converter and oxygen sensors and will lead to
deterioration of the emission control system and or failures.
The use of E10 fuel with 10 % ethanol in Europe is safe for your vehicle. Damage to
   
your vehicle may occur when ethanol exceeds this recommendation.
Never add fuel system additives, otherwise the emission control system could be
   
damaged. Consult an expert repairer, we recommend an Authorised Mazda Repairer
for details.
NOTE
(Premium unleaded fuel (within E85))
To maintain good engine startability and performance, the following points must be
observed.
Refuelling using the same-type fuel is recommended.
    
Add 16 L (4.2 US gal, 3.5 Imp gal) or more of fuel when refuelling.
   
Drive the vehicle 10 km (6.2 mile) or more just after refuelling to allow the vehicle's
   
engine control system to learn the ethanol concentration accurately.
Fuel Requirements (SKYACTIV-D 1.5)
The vehicle will operate effi ciently on diesel fuel with specifi cation EN590 or the
equivalent.
Never use fuel other than specifi cation EN590 or the equivalent for your vehicle. Use
   
of petrol or paraffi n in diesel engines will result in engine damage.
Never add fuel system additives. Otherwise, the emission control system could be
   
damaged. Consult an expert repairer, we recommend an Authorised Mazda Repairer
for details.
