Cooling system
•
Insert a new oil seal (10) in the water
pump housing. Fit the oil seal using a
buffer of suitable diameter.
CAUTION
LUBRICATE ALL THE BEARING BALLS WITH ENGINE OIL.
•
Fit the bearing (11).
•
Use the water pump fitting tool (12) to
fit a new water pump gasket.
CAUTION
BEFORE REFITTING THE WATER PUMP APPLY AN EMUL-
SIFIED SOLUTION ON THE OUTSIDE DIAMETER TO FA-
CILITATE INSERTION.
NEVER LUBRICATE THE WATER PUMP GASKET SUR-
FACE WITH OIL OR GREASE.
Specific tooling

CAUTION
BEFORE FITTING THE RUBBER DAMPER APPLY AN EMULSIFIED SOLUTION ON THE EXTER-
NAL SURFACE TO FACILITATE INSERTION.
•
Fit a new rubber damper (9) and a new
rubber damper support (8).
CAUTION
MAKE SURE THAT THE RUBBER DAMPER AND THE
DAMPER SUPPORT ARE FLUSH TO THE ROTOR.
•
Check the rotor shaft angle by placing
a ruler on the damper (which must be
flush with the rotor).
•
Place a gauge on the reference ruler to
measure the depth of the left and right
ends with reference to the damper.
•
Repeat the same check rotating the
reference ruler by 90° with respect to
the present position.
