Overview
The HP 16- and 48-Port Serial Console Server (SCS) ships with rack–
mounting hardware for easy integration into the rack. Before
installing the console switches and other components in the rack
cabinet (if not already installed), stabilize the rack in a permanent
location. Begin installing the equipment at the bottom of the rack
cabinet, and then work to the top. Avoid uneven loading or
overloading of the rack cabinets.
Installation checklist
Before installation, See the following lists to be sure that all of the
listed components were received.
Kit contents
One of the following products:
One HP 16-Port Serial Console Server (with mounting shelf)
One HP 48-Port Serial Console Server (with mounting
brackets)
Power cords
Mounting hardware (screws, cage nuts, and clip nuts)
Loopback connector
Documentation/firmware CD kit
This kit might contain extra hardware for your convenience.
Required tools
Phillips screwdriver
T-25 Torx driver
