Down Slope in 4T (Latch Mode)
To activate the Downslope function in 4T (Latch Mode) whilst welding, the TIG Torch Trigger Switch must be
depressed and held which will ramp the Welding Current down to zero over a defined period of time. The time
period is determined by the Downslope Control Knob. Downslope Range is 0 to 10 seconds.
At any time whilst welding in 4T (Latch Mode) if the TIG Torch Trigger Switch is depressed and released weld-
ing will cease immediately.
7. Negative Welding Output Terminal
The negative welding terminal is used to connect the welding output of the power source to the work lead. Most
General Purpose electrodes are connected with work lead to negative. Consult the electrode manufacturer's
information for the correct polarity.
Welding current flows from the workpiece via this Dinse type terminal to the power source. It is essential,
however, that the male dinse type plug is inserted and turned securely to achieve a sound electrical connec-
tion. Do not over tighten.
Loose welding terminal connections can cause overheating and result in the male plug being fused
in the Dinse terminal.
8. Control Socket 8 Pin
The 8 pin socket on the power source is used to connect a trigger switch or remote control device i.e foot
control, to the welding Power Source
To make connections, align keyway, insert plug, and rotate threaded collar fully clockwise. The socket infor-
mation is included in the event the supplied cable/plug is not suitable or the remote device plug or cable is
damaged and it is necessary to wire a plug or cable to interface with the 8 pin receptacle.
