Note that System Bit %S49 FA_OK indicates the state of the CPE400 Field Agent:
When the %S49 FA_OK bit is set, the Field Agent is Running, Predix Edge is Running, and the system is
connected to the Cloud. The status of the OPC UA data exchange between the PACSystems Runtime and the
Field Agent is independent of the state of this bit.

OPC UA Server Subroutine

It is recommended that you create a subroutine to encapsulate the service request. The subroutine is then
available to the main program to use as necessary. An application note entitled OPC-UA Server: Application
Logic Quick Start Guide that includes an example subroutine is available at the GE Automation and Controls
support site, www.geautomation.com/support. An example subroutine call, per the application note, is
displayed below for reference.
