Check the low auxillary
battery indicator (red
LED) light. If on, it is
on
showing a low voltage
condition.

Check the auxillary
lowering battery holder to
make sure that the

batteries have been
installed.

Disconnect the main
power source. Check for
power at terminal 9 and
9A of the 13 pole terminal
strip (J1) located in the
0V DC
ground control box.
12V DC
If power is seen then the
wont
symptom would be that
lower
the auxillary lowering
from
from the platform would
base
work and not from the
ground control box.

Replace the 8 -1.5V, AA
size batteries.
Install the 8 - 1.5V, AA
size batteries.
Check for power at
terminal 1 of the 3 pole
terminal strip (J2) in the
0V DC
ground control box.Put
the positive lead of
voltage meter on terminal
1 and the negative lead
on terminal 2 the
grounding terminal.
12V DC
Replace the P.C. board
OR contact Genie
Industries Service
Department.
Replace the auxillary
down N.O. contact block
located in the ground
control box OR repair the
red wire from terminal 9a
of 13 pole terminal strip
(J1).

Check the auxillary
lowering battery holder
wires (red wire connects
to terminal 1 and black
wire connects to terminal
2) for loose connections
at the J2 terminal strip
OR check for defects in
the battery holder and its
wires.

Correct the loose
connections at the J2
terminal strip OR
Replace the battery
holder.
