Connecting the Console Terminal to Magnum 6KL

Use a (RJ45) "null modem" cable to connect the Magnum 6KL Console Port
(the RJ45 Console port on the 6KL Switch) to your PC, so that your PC
becomes the 6KL Console Terminal.
Note: The RJ45 cable is not included with the 6KL package.

The above provided information enables a managed station (a PC or Console terminal) to
connect directly to the switch.
Note: To use the Console port to configure the managed switch, a serial (Null-modem)
male to male cable is required to communicate properly. The Null-Modem (RJ45) cable
is optional and can be ordered from the factory, along with the unit as-
