ADJUSTMENT OF THE FEED REGULATING ROD (WHICH
REGULATES THE « AUTOMATIC » LENGTH OF THE STITCH)
NO. A 26/3/21
This adjustment and the one explained previously pertaining to
the contact fingers No. A 26/1/13 and No. A 26/1/23, are very
important in order to obtain perfect fancy stitching, and
especially the Greek Key Stitch and the automatically made
buttonholes.
Before making the following adjustments, it should be made
certain that the machine is perfectly assembled, and especially
that the timing of the stitch length regulating shaft is correct (see
chapter "Timing of the Regulating Shaft" and" Adjustment of the
Feed Dog ").
Proceed now as follows:
Place gauge No. 10-2 on the cam axle (Fig. 86).
Move zig-zag width lever completely to the left.
