3. Place a block of wood between the gearcase and the propeller to hold the
propeller. Remove the propeller nut.
4. Pull the propeller straight off of the shaft.
5. To aid in the future removal of the propeller, liberally coat the propeller
shaft splines with one of the following Mercury products:
