There are no serviceable parts in this equipment.
If your home has specially wired alarm equipment connected to the telephone line, ensure the installation
of this equipment does not disable your alarm equipment. If you have questions about what will disable
alarm equipment, consult your telephone company or a qualified installer.
UL Listing/CUL Listing:
If you use your own telephone cable, you must use a minimum No. 26 AWG and FCC compliant telephone
cable.
This Information Technology Equipment (ITE) is UL Listed and C-UL Listed for both the US and Canadian
markets respectively for the uses described in the User Guide. Use this product only with UL Listed
Information Technology Equipment (ITE).
Fax Branding:
The Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991 makes it unlawful for any person to use a computer or
other electronic device, including fax machines, to send any message unless such message clearly
contains in the margin at the top or bottom of each transmitted page or on the first page of the
transmission, the date and time it is sent, an identification of the business or other entity, or other individual
sending the message, and the telephone number of the sending machine or of such business, other entity,
or individual. (The telephone number provided may not be a 900 number or any other number for which
charges exceed local or long-distance transmission charges.) In order to program this information into your
modem, refer to the BVRP software on the CD-ROM that shipped with your modem. If you are using a
different communication software program, refer to its manual.

Industry Canada (IC)
This digital apparatus does not exceed the Class B limits for radio noise emissions from digital apparatus
set out in the interference-causing equipment standard entitled Digital Apparatus, ICES-003 of Industry
Canada.

Specifications. This is confirmed by the registration number. The abbreviation, IC, before the registration
number signifies that registration was performed based on a Declaration of Conformity indicating that
Industry Canada technical specifications were met. It does not imply that Industry Canada approved the
equipment.
Notice: The Ringer Equivalence Number (REN) for this terminal equipment is 0.2B. The REN assigned to
each terminal equipment provides an indication of the maximum number of terminals allowed to be
connected to a telephone interface. The termination on a interface may consist of any combination of
devices subject only to the requirement that the sum of the Ringer Equivalence Numbers of all the devices
does not exceed five.
