Problem
Characters are one dot too high
or low.
Characters are running too close
together.
Solution
Use the correct setting for the at-
tribute byte. An attribute byte less
than 128 makes the bottom 8 pins
active (good for descenders). An
attribute byte of 128 or greater ac-
tivates the top 8 (matching ROM
characters without descenders).
Must reserve space between char-
acters within the character design.
Typically, the last 2 columns are
defined as O. See ROM characters
in Appendix B.
