You can use batch programming to set serial parameters for the Power-
Wedge 10 Serial model. This section describes the parameters; bar codes
for setting them begin on page 48. (For a complete listing of parameters
and defaults, see
Programming Options on page 34
This section also includes a table of Code 39 and ASCII equivalents for
serial characters (see page 32). Use the Code 39 equivalents when creating
bar codes for batch programming.

Data Type (I.D. #C0)

Bar codes for setting data type are on page 48.
This parameter determines the data content transmitted to or received
from the host. The
ASCII
character set (with the exception of the null character, ASCII 00h, which
is received as 80h). The
release codes for the keys on a PC keyboard.
Programming the PowerWedge 10
DESCRIPTION
Transmits numeric keypad values instead of the number
keys in the top row of the keyboard. (Some applications
recognize a difference between a number typed on the
top row of the keyboard and the same number typed
on the keyboard's numeric keypad.)
Identifies the host computer type. This setting is not
affected by the predefined defaults (D0–D2).
