Parts of your machine

Note: Any terms used here that are unclear to you right now will be explained in detail in the coming pages.

Control Panel : The keys you use to operate your machine. (See pages 1.3 for more details.)

Document exit tray : Where your original document comes out after being scanned.

Paper exit tray : Where the printout comes out.

Paper cassette : Set paper here. It can hold up to 125 sheets.

Paper cassette cover

Handset : Used for voice communication.

Top cover grip : Use these trips on both sides, when opening the top cover.

Top cover : Open this cover to remove original document jam.

Document feeder : Where you insert the original document for scanning. It can hold up to 20 sheets.

Document feeder tray : Holds original documents placed for scanning into the machine.

Document guide : Adjust these to fit the width of the original document, so it will feed properly into the machine.

Toner cartridge

Paper eject lever : Pull this to release jammed paper.

line jack : Where you plug in the telephone line cord. The other end of the cord, plug into a wall telephone jack.

USB port : Where you plug in the USB cable.

Printer cable connector port : Where you plug in the printer cable.

AC power code : Where you plug in the out let.
