The phone and SIM card are
protected against misuse by several
security codes.

Autolock period
If set, the phone locks after a time-
out you can define. Key in a number
for minutes. To unlock you must
enter the security code.
Lock if SIM changed
(Security code protected)
Your phone is prevented from being
used with a different SIM card.
SIM fixed dial
(PIN 2 protected)
Dialing is restricted to the numbers
on the SIM card, new entries are not
possible. If only area codes are
entered, the relevant phone
numbers can be added to these
manually before dialing.

Closed user group
If offered by the service provider,
this service enables groups to be
formed. These have access for
example to internal (company)
information or special tariffs apply to
them. Check with your service
provider for details.
Confirm SIM services
The phone can be set to display
confirmations when using a SIM card
service.
Certificate management
There is a list of authorized
certificates stored in your phone.
These are used for verifying the
origin of WAP pages and installed
software.
You need a certificate, for example
• to work with an online bank or
another server to transfer
confidential information,
• to protect against viruses.
Note that a certificate is not a
protection in itself. It needs to be
checked for authenticity and
trustworthiness.
