Installing applications
An application you want to install
must be suitable for the Symbian
operating system. Application
packages are normally compressed
files which contain several
component files.
Note
Before you install an update for an existing
application, be sure that you have a backup
or the original software package. Otherwise
you cannot restore the original application.
Before restoring the original, remove the
installed application.
You can get installation packages via
• Bluetooth, Infrared from a
computer or phone.
• multimedia message or as an
e-mail attachment.
• download during a WAP session.
Select the required installation
package:

applications e.g. Inbox for an
installation file, select it and press
the joystick to start installation.
Note
The phone warns you when installing
software without digital signature or
certificate. Continue only if you are sure of
the origin and the contents of the software
package.
