Next to each GBIC slot are two LEDs. The LEDs display the operating
status of a GBIC module. Use the Mode Select Button to toggle the status
information displayed by a GBIC Mode LED. The LEDs are defined in
Table 3.
Table 3 GBIC LEDs
State
Description
OFF
Indicates that there is no link between the GBIC
port and the end node.
Steady Green
Indicates a valid link has been established
between the GBIC port and the end node.
OFF
Indicates that no data collisions are occurring on
the port.
Flashing Green
Indicates that data collisions are occurring on the
port.
Steady Green
Indicates that the port is operating at 1000 Mbps.
Solid Green
Indicates that the port is operating in full-duplex
mode.
OFF
Indicates that there is no activity on the port.
Flashing Green
Indicates that the port is transmitting and/or
receiving data packets.
