own safety.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

When using the machine, always observe the enclosed safety
instructions as well as the additional safety instructions.
The following symbols are used throughout this manual:

ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR MITRE SAW

Never remove the guard. Make sure that the saw blade is
correctly screened by the guard.
Never remove the riving knife. The distance between the
toothed rim and the riving knife should not exceed 5 mm.
Do not use saw blades made of HSS steel.
Do not use saw blades which are bent, deformed or otherwise
damaged.
Do not use saw blades which do not comply with the
specifications stated in this manual.
Do not use an adaptor to mount a saw blade with a larger bore.
Before sawing, remove all nails and other metal objects from
the workpiece.
Never switch the machine on while the workpiece touches the
saw blade.
Never start sawing before the machine reaches full speed.
Use a push stick when sawing extremely small workpieces.
Never attempt to saw round workpieces.
Do not leave the work area until the machine has been switched
off and the saw blade has come to a complete standstill.
Never attempt to stop the saw blade by exerting side pressure.
A DDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR MITRE SAW
Make sure that all devices screening the saw blade are in
perfect working order.
Make sure that the saw blade is screened correctly.
Never block the saw blade guard. Repair a jammed saw blade
guard before using the machine again.
Do not use saw blades made of HSS steel.
Do not use bent, deformed or otherwise damaged saw blades.
Do not use saw blades which do not meet the specifications
stated in this manual.
Before sawing, remove all nails and other metal objects from
the workpiece.
Never start sawing before the saw reaches its full speed.
Securely clamp the workpiece. Never attempt to saw extremely
small workpieces.
Only leave the machine after switching off and when the saw
blade has come to a complete standstill. Pull down the saw

head and press in the locking knob.
Never try to slow the saw blade down by exerting pressure on
the side.
Before performing maintenance to the machine, always unplug
the machine.

ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR MITRE SAWS

Use exclusively the type of saw blade that is recommendated
by the manufacturer and complying that meets the
requirements of EN 847-1.
Do not saw any other materials than wood, wood products,
aluminium and plastic.
Select the correct saw blade for the workpiece to be sawn.
Connect the dust extraction device before starting the
operation.
When using the machine in the table saw position, always
make sure that the riving knife has been adjusted properly.
When using the machine in the table saw position, always use
the push stick to guide the workpiece along the saw blade.
When using the machine in the cut-off saw position, check
that the upper part of the saw blade is fully covered by the
upper guard.
When using the machine in the table saw position, check
whether the upper table top is tightened firmly.
Always unplug the machine before performing any maintenance.
Do not use the machine before it has been completely
assembled and installed according to the instructions.
Do not perform any design, assembly or construction
activities on the table while the machine is switched on.
Unplug the machine and clean the table before leaving the
work area.
Residual risks
The following hazards may occur during the operation of this
machine:
- danger of inju y r to the fingers and hands while changing the
saw blade
- danger of inju y r through flying debris from the workpiece
- danger of hearing damage
- health risk due to inhalation of airborne particles

ELECTRICAL SAFETY

Always check that the power supply corresponds to
the voltage on the rating plate.

Your table saw/cut-off saw has been developed for sawing
wooden workpieces. The machine is not suitable for sawing
grooves, etc.
