pressure (The oil lamp will go off.). Then stop the
engine and add engine oil. then, restart for
o p e r a t i o n .
I M P O RTANT :
• To prevent serious damage to the engine,
replacement element must be highly efficient.
Use only a KIOTI genuine filter.

9.3 Transmission fluid

NOTE :
• Be sure to stop the engine before checking and
changing the transmission fluid.
- Transmission Fluid Check and Refill
View the fluid level through the fluid level gauge. If
short, refill it through the port. Use multi-grade
transmission fluid. (See page 44).
After the first 50 hours of operation of a new tractor
and 300 hours thereafter, exchange oil. It is easier
to exchange oil when the engine is warm.
- Transmission Fluid Change
The fluid in the transmission case is also used for
the hydraulic system. To drain the fluid in the
transmission case, place oil pan underneath the
transmission case and remove the drain plugs at
the bottom of the transmission case. After draining,
remove and change the filter cartridge.
After reassembling, fill with new multi-grade
transmission fluid.
I M P O RTANT :
• Never operate the tractor immediately after
changing the transmission fluid and filter cartridge.
Keeping the engine at medium speed for a few
minutes prevents the damage of transmission.
NOTE :
• Be sure to stop the engine before changing the oil
f i l t e r s .
- Transmission Oil Filter Cartridge
1. The oil filter cartidge must be cleaned every 300
service hours. It is located to the right of the
t r a c t o r.
- To Remove and Replace the Filter
The hydraulic/transmission filter is located on the
right side of the tractor. To remove, turn the filter
counterclockwise. Be sure to move a drain pan
under the filter before completely loosening it. After
the filter is removed, clean the metal surface of the
filter base where the rubber gasket contact. Use a
clean rag. Make sure the filter gasket is off the filter
housing. Lubricate well the metal sealing surface
with clean hydraulic/transmission fluid. Do not use
gear oil or grease. Lubricate the gasket of the filter
