Permitted mounting positions

The following mounting positions are permitted for the device.
For information on the maximum permissible ambient temperatures during operation, refer to
section "Ambient conditions (Page 125)".
Mounting positions according to UL508/EN60950-1
Points to note with expansion cards
Expansion cards may impose restrictions on the installation location (fire-proof enclosure)
and permitted mounting positions (see Technical specifications). If the device has been
fitted with expansion cards, please observe the safety and installation instructions for the
expansion cards in the corresponding documentation.
If in doubt, install the device in an enclosure that is compliant with sections 4.6 and 4.7.3 of
IEC/EN/DIN EN 60950-1.
NOTICE
Operation in closed rooms
The device is approved for operation in closed rooms only. Pay attention to the ambient
and environmental conditions.

Mounting precautions
• The total power for USB and PCI/PCIe expansions cannot exceed 30 W.
• Operation of a DVD drive in the inclined position is not permitted.
