Do not push the backup device in completely as the
cable has to be connected to the device.

Connect the interface cable and power cable to the installed 3.5-inch device.

Push the device all the way until it locks with a clicking sound.
10. Assemble the server.
11. For SCSI devices, use the BIOS utility of the SCSI controller and specify the transfer rate and other
settings.

12. Install device drivers for installed devices as needed.
For more information, refer to the manual provided with the device.

1.14.2 Removal

You can remove the backup device by reversing the installation procedure. If the devices are to remain
removed, attach the stored blank panel.
