2.2.1

Interface cables

First connect the interface cable and then the power cord.
Important
• Turn off the server and peripheral devices to be connected before
connecting. Connecting wit power ON can cause malfunction or failure.
• If connecting any peripheral device and its interface cable made by a third
party, contact the store where you purchased them to check if they can be
used with the server beforehand. Some devices from a third party cannot
be used with the server.
• You cannot connect directly to the dedicated line through the serial port
that is equipped with the server as standard. To connect the dedicated
line,
use
a
terminal
Telecommunication Business Law (a dedicated line means a dedicated
communication facility or other facility allocated to one specific user). It
includes a public line.)
• The connectors that are not explained here are not used. Do not connect
anything to the connectors.
• Be sure to use the display unit specified by NEC. The operation is not
guaranteed if you install a display unit not specified by NEC.
