Attention:
The Windows NT 4.0 SSA Device Driver supports up to 6 IBM Advanced SerialRAID/X
Adapters in one machine; the Netware SSA Driver supports up to 4 IBM Advanced
SerialRAID/X Adapters. Other restrictions may apply to individual machines.
If you are using a Netfinity Model 5500 or 5500M10, you can have up to two IBM
Advanced SerialRAID/X Adapters on the primary bus. However, you cannot place both
an IBM SerialRAID Adapter and an IBM Advanced SerialRAID/X Adapter on the primary
bus of the Model 5500 or 5500M10.
Netfinity Model 5500M20 cannot use slots 5 or 6 for the IBM Advanced SerialRAID/X
Adapter due to size restrictions..
If you are using a Netfinity Model 7000, do not install the adapter in slot 5 if you are
using more than one Advanced SerialRAID/X Adapter. If you use slot 1 or slot 6 for
SSA Adapters then any other high performance adapters should be placed on the other
PCI bus.
See the SSA support World Wide Web page at:

configuration information that is provided in the documentation for the unit in which
the SSA disk drives are installed. ("Appendix A. Connecting SSA Devices to the
Adapter" on page 31 provides some general information on SSA configurations.)
2. Using this information connect the SSA cables to the unit in which the disk drives
