v The light flashes continuously if one of the ports is not operational. That occurs when
the cable to that port is not connected correctly or the device connected next to the
adapter in the loop is not operational.
v The light is off if both ports are not operational.
Summary of Installation Procedures
Installing the adapter consists of the following steps:
v Taking an inventory of all pieces necessary for installation
v Installing the adapter
v Connecting the SSA disk drives
v Installing the SSA device drivers, software, and any required microcode.
