8 Maintenance and fault rectification
Shorten cable/rod

Information:
Please keep the stated torque so that the max. tensile strength
remains.
The cable and rod of the probe can be shortened by any amount.

Cable: loosen the three pins on the gravity weight (hexagon 3)

Cable: remove the pins

Cable: Pull the cable out of the gravity weight

Shorten the cable/rod with a cut-off wheel or metal saw at the
lower end. Make sure the length is correct.

Cable: cable protrudes approx. 40 mm (1.575 in) into the gravity
weight.

Cable: Fasten the cable with three pins, torque 7 Nm (5.16 lbf ft)

Enter new probe length and then carry out a fresh adjustment (see
"Setup procedure, Carrying out min. adjustment - Carrying out
max. adjustment").
