Alarm causes
• No power supply.
• A black out occurred during normal operations for
an interval longer than the BLACK-OUT parameter.
• Fume probe fault or not electrically connected
correctly to the electronic board.
• Fume temperature over 260°C limit.
• Fume fan speed does not match the set point
• Minimum fume temperature not reached within
maximum ignition time
• The Pr17 has not been reached within the
maximum Pr1 time
• The fumes temperature drops below the Pr47
value.
• Tripped pallet hopper housing safety thermostat.
• Safety pressure switch triggered on fume exhaust
fan delivery.
Main solutions
• Make sure the electrical connection between the
socket on the appliance and power cord is correct.
• Make sure the fuse in the socket is integral.
• Make sure appliance wiring terminals are tight.
• Make sure the following are correctly connected:
Red wire to terminal + and J type thermocouple
probe.
• Contact the Technical Assistance Centre .
• An incorrect value was set in MAX RUN THRESH-
• Contact CAT, fume fan settings may required
adjustments based on draught.
• Visually and manually ensure the fan freely rotates.
• Fume exhaust fan could be broken.
• Check fan wiring and ENCODER terminal wiring
to the unit.
• Check pellet content in the tank.
• Make sure the pellet load auger works correct (start
the component from menu PELLET LOAD, MENU
7. After completing the Load Pellet sequence in
Menu 7, the brazier must be emptied, i.e. the stove
must be started up with a clean brazier).
• Check brazier cleanliness.
• Before restarting the stove, it is necessary to
empty the brazier, that is restarting the stove with
a clean brazier.
• Check correct brazier position.
• Make sure the electrical resistance works (start the
component from menu TEST OUTPUTS).
• Pellet tank empty, top up.
• Adjust pellet flow and fume exhaust fan speed to
keep minimum flame.
• Before restarting, pellet load may be required from
MENU 7. Fully emptying the tank generally also
requires the load auger to be empties and causes
ignition with scarce pellets and thus the chance
of IGNITION FAILED alarm. After completing the
Load Pellet sequence in Menu 7, the brazier must
be emptied, i.e. the stove must be started up with
a clean brazier.
• Check that the thermostat is in block position.
• Check the amount of pellets in the firebox, there
may be too much.
• Check the aeration grid on the back of the device,
it may be dirty and not allow enough cooling air
to flow.
• Check flue cleanliness
• Make sure flue passage is not especially winding
(see CHAP.07.2 - FLUE OR FUME EXHAUST
SYSTEM).
• Check fume fan cleanliness
• Make sure the door is closed.
