To change the IP address of the camera, enter a
new IP address to the "New IP address" field and
click the [Execute] button.
Note:
• When clicking the [Execute] button after entering an
IP address to the "Start IP address" field, subse-
quent IP address not in use will be assigned auto-
matically.
Setup items
■ Model
The model of the detected camera will be displayed.
■ MAC address
The MAC address of the detected camera will be dis-
played.
■ IP address
The IP address of the detected camera will be dis-
played.
■ New IP address
Enter an IP address to be assigned to the detected
camera.
■ DHCP
Select "On" or "Off" (default) to determine whether or
not to use the DHCP server.
Note:
• When the detected cameras are registered, all login
users will forcibly be logged out.
• All recordings will stop in the process of the camera
registration.
• The cameras located in the different subnet via a
router cannot be detected.
• To enhance the security, a camera can be detected
for only 20 minutes after turning on the power of the
camera when the default IP address is changed
depending on the model of the camera. Refer to the
operating instructions of the camera in use for fur-
ther information.
• The compression method of the registered camera
will be set to "JPEG" or "M-JPEG" automatically.

Click the [Set] button.
Registration of the cameras will complete.
When "Register the IP address automatically given
by this unit to a detected camera" is selected on the
"Quick" page, the IP address of the detected cam-
era will be changed automatically.
• Set "255.255.255.0" for "Subnet mask" of the port
to which the camera is connected when selecting
"Register the IP address automatically given by this
unit to a detected camera".
• When automatically assigning an IP address, the
gateway shall belong to the same segment of the
port selected in step 3 of the "Automatic camera
detection and registration" section on page 49.
Otherwise, IP address may not automatically be
assigned to a camera depending on the model.
• The HTTP port number of the camera will be "80"
automatically when the IP address of the camera is
registered. The values of the subnet mask and the
default gateway of the camera will be set to the
same values as the recorder's.
• When the IP address of the camera is changed by
clicking the [Execute] button, the checkboxes of
camera 1-64 that are detected on the camera
detection result window will be checked.
• This recorder will assign available IP addresses to
the detected cameras by executing "Start IP
address". However, The IP address assigned to the
other devices may be assigned to the detected
cameras depending on the network environment
such as an environment using the firewall function
of Windows XP, etc. If the IP address used for the
other device is assigned to the camera, check the IP
addresses and assign an IP address to the camera
manually. When the message window saying that
there is no available IP address, check the settings
and manually register IP addresses not in use.
• "Start IP address" can be executed only when "Off"
is selected for the "DHCP" setting of the recorder.
