from the normal operating position.

Installing the Target Plate

Parts needed for this procedure:
1 Target plate
Procedure
1. Setup and prepare the cutting unit as described in the
cutting unit Operator's Manual.
2. Remove the center, grass shield bolt (Figure 3).
3. Install the target plate to the top of the cutting unit
using the bolt you removed previously (Figure 3).

Installing the Cutting Unit to
the Traction Unit
Parts needed for this procedure:
2 Bolt, 3/8 x 3/4 inch
Procedure
1. Place the mower on its drums on a level surface.
2. Lower the kick stand and push in the locking pin to
lock the kick stand in the service position (Figure 4).
Allow the machine to rest on the locked kickstand.
Note: Place the kickstand in this position anytime
you remove the reel. This will keep the machine from
tipping backwards onto the handle.

3. Push the cutting unit under the traction unit and to the
left to engage the transmission coupling (Figure 5).
