4.2.7 Printhead
Take due care not to stain any surrounding objects with ink.
C A U T I O N
The ink tubes are very delicate. Take due care not to bend or
whiten them by applying undue force.
C H E C K
Stylus Photo RX700 does not have any mechanism that permits the
P O I N T
operator to unlock the carriage. Therefore, turn the power ON and
unplug the power cable from the wall outlet timely after seeing the
movement of the carriage to locate it at a position other than the
home position.
1.
Move the Carriage Assy to the middle of the printer.
2.
Remove the Middle Housing. (p.88)
3.
Remove the screws (x2) securing the Valve Assy, and remove the Valve Assy
carefully.
4.
Disconnect the FFC of the CR Encoder Board.
5.
Remove the CR Weight with care that it is not caught by the FFC.
6.
Remove the screws (x3) securing the Printhead.
7.
Lift the Printhead carefully, and disconnect the FFCs (x2).
