8. Netword Address Translation (NAT)

8.1 Advanced Set Up

8.1.1 Options

The NAT Advanced submenu allows the User to set the permissions for use of services and
system access. A Service Control List (SCL) enables or disables services from being used.
1) When the „WAN Blocking‟ is disabled, it will not reply for ICMP request on the WAN
interface to prevent be showing on the Internet.
2) Enable „PPTP PassThrough‟ to make proper communication of VPN device which is
behind the DV-302.
3) When the PC behind DV-302 needs Multicast service for any specific PC based services,
enables the „Multicast Enable‟.

8.1.2 IP Filtering

The DV-302 can be configured to prevent local PCs to gaining access the WAN by specifying
Local PC IP addresses that should be filtered.
It is also possible to control outgoing IP traffic from the LAN, by adjusting the IP Filtering page
in the „Advanced‟ submenu:
