8.1.5 Forwarding

Port Forwarding allows the User to direct incoming traffic from the WAN side (identified by
Protocol and External port) to the internal server which has a private IP address on the LAN
side.
To adjust Forwarding parameters:
1)
The Port number can be entered as a range by entering the starting number and
ending number.
2)
Designate TCP, UDP, or Both protocols.
3)
Click on Apply to accept changes.

8.1.6 Port Triggers

Port Triggers are similar to Port Forwarding except that they are not static ports held open all
the time. When the DV-302 detects outgoing data on a specific IP port number set in the Trigger

Refer to the black box on right side of the screen shown, which lists the
port numbers in use. It can be useful when appropriate the port number is
not otherwise easily at-hand.
