3.12 Diagnostic Function

The Diagnostic Function is used when there is a need for customers or operators to test the
device. Test results give limited information to customer/operator and serves as a vital tool to
provide optimal customer service.

3.13 DHCP Function

The DHCP Function is used to dynamically assign IP addresses, net-masks, and default
gateways. The AX gateway has a DHCP server in it that automatically performs this function.

3.14 Web-based Management Function

The Web-based management function is used to set DV-302 configuration parameters
remotely through web browser.

3.15 Operation Authentication Function

Operation authentication function is used to authenticate an operator by prompting the user ID
and password when the operator accesses the DV-302.

3.16 On-Phone IP Address Configuration Function

On-phone IP Address Configuration function enables users to set the DV-302 IP Address or
change the current IP Address and net-mask using a touch-tone phone.

3.17 Remote Upgrade Function

For remote maintenance and upgrading the system software remotely using FTP service.

3.18 TFTP/ FTP Processing Function

TFTP processing function is for remote maintenance and performs functions defined in
RFC1350. FTP processing function is for remote maintenance and performs the functions
defined in RFC1986.
